Big Mouth

Unidentified students approached Representative Bob Etheridge (D-NC) in Washington DC. When one of the students asked the rather nebulous question, "Do you fully support the Obama agenda?", Etheridge asked "who are you?" and knocked one student's camera to the ground and violently grabbed the other by the wrist continuing to demand to know his name.

It's good to know that D.C. politicians can stand up to scrawny college kids, terrorist threat that they are. It so happens that Etheridge is a vehemently anti-Second-Amendment activist. Thank God he didn't have a gun that day.

Frank LoBiondo, a United States Representative from New Jersey is a Republican. The Republicans style themselves as more loyal to the Constitution, at least as a matter of public image - truth be damned. That's why it's all the more pathetic that this guy does not even have the basics of the Constitution down.

Asked if he knew the first article of the first section of the Constitution, he offered up a weak "Uh... the freedom of speech?" Of course, the "Don't Tread On Me" shirt-wearing guy was happy to correct him. The first article, first section explicitly delegates the power to make federal laws to Congress, namely the Senate and House. The shirt guy's point was that neither Congress nor the citizenry should suffer activist judges who try to legislate from the bench.

LoBiondo could not even name the freedoms granted by the First Amendment. The amendment prohibits the making of any law "respecting an establishment of religion", impeding the free exercise of religion, infringing on the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances.

It is unsurprising that LoBiondo has no knowledge of the Constitution given his support for the Flag Desecration Amendment which is a flagrant violation of the First Amendment.

As they say, there's no con like a neocon.

According to this article, George W. Bush contacted Jacques Chirac prior to invading Iraq telling him that when he looked at the Middle East, he saw "Gog and Magog at work".

What is Gog and Magog? Read this excerpt from Ezekiel:

And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,
And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:
Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:
Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.

D.A.G. Says: *Backs away slowly...*

Nancy Pelosi has likened the opposition to Obama's nationalized healthcare to the assassinations of Harvey Milk and George Moscone.

Quote from Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA):

"I have never heard one word of gratitude from the Iraqi people about the 4,300 Americans who lost their lives... We went to Iraq to try and free your people and now we're being blamed for sectarian violence. Don't blame us because that type of bloodlust exists in your society."
