Congressman Frank LoBiondo doesn't know the Constitution... at all.
Frank LoBiondo, a United States Representative from New Jersey is a Republican. The Republicans style themselves as more loyal to the Constitution, at least as a matter of public image - truth be damned. That's why it's all the more pathetic that this guy does not even have the basics of the Constitution down.
Asked if he knew the first article of the first section of the Constitution, he offered up a weak "Uh... the freedom of speech?" Of course, the "Don't Tread On Me" shirt-wearing guy was happy to correct him. The first article, first section explicitly delegates the power to make federal laws to Congress, namely the Senate and House. The shirt guy's point was that neither Congress nor the citizenry should suffer activist judges who try to legislate from the bench.
LoBiondo could not even name the freedoms granted by the First Amendment. The amendment prohibits the making of any law "respecting an establishment of religion", impeding the free exercise of religion, infringing on the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances.
It is unsurprising that LoBiondo has no knowledge of the Constitution given his support for the Flag Desecration Amendment which is a flagrant violation of the First Amendment.
As they say, there's no con like a neocon.
