• Barack Obama signed a $680 billion defense authorization bill, and said that there is still too much waste in overall Pentagon spending.
• With $2 billion cut from the program, the F-22, the world’s most advanced jet fighter, was effectively terminated.
• The VH-71 Presidential Helicopter program, as well was cancelled. While the helicopters would have cost a total of $13 billion to procure, the inevitable successor program will cost from $14-$21 billion and new helicopters won’t be available until 2024 meaning the current fleet will be 50 years old. Moreover, terminating the VH-71 will mean $3 billion in completely wasted money already.
• The Airborne Laser system, a far more promising anti-missile defense than the faulty system based on rockets, was also cut off from funding.
• Future Combat Systems, a high tech Army program to link sensors, soldiers, and information systems with unmanned and manned vehicles and one of America’s key future military advantages has been defunded.
• Overall, the priorities of the military are being shifted from conventional warfare against nations to “freedom-hatin’ turrists” in the Middle East.

Says: Pro-Stalin, anti-freedom sentiment is on the rise in still frighteningly strong Russia and the repressive People’s Republic of China is growing stronger in its economy and industry every day. • According to a 52-page plan called “Restorative School Culture and Climate,” and in the section “Discipline”, The “Equity Team” will be responsible for creating “restorative school culture and climate” that conveys a “sense of belonging to all students,” such that suspensions and expulsions reflect “no ethnic/racial disparities.” This implies that regardless of the actual proportion of offenses committed, the proportion of punishments will be applied equally across races.
• “School data that show disparities in suspension/expulsion rates will be examined in detail for root causes. Special attention will be dedicated to data regarding African-American and Hispanic students.”
• The TUSD It also includes a vast expansion of the district’s controversial Mexican-American studies program while many teachers are being laid off.

• More than 170,000 students will be affected by this decision.
• The budget shortfall that caused this drastic reduction in the level of education is the result of a court injunction granted by U.S. District Judge J. Michael Seabright and sought by Senior Staff Attorney Elizabeth M. Dunne of Lawyers for Equal Justice that prevents Hawaii from downgrading the free medical care for non-citizens – a decision which would save $30 million.
