Why we’re here

We started this site because we love this country. America’s one of the best places on earth. Its tradition of personal liberty is unparalleled elsewhere in the world. In America you have the freedom to speak your mind no matter how unpopular your thoughts may be; the freedom to carry the means to defend your life and to use them when needed; and the freedom to make something of your life no matter how abjectly low you start out.

All of this happens in spite of, not because of something we call “dumbass government”. Dumbass government is what happens when people of middling to low intellectual prowess are given authority far beyond their mental capacity. This happens constantly, and the consequences of their stupidity are apparent on a daily basis. The good news here is that since we still live in a democracy, we can pull the strings if we so choose.

Dumbass government continues to act the fool because not enough people keep track of what government does. If you knew about what people your city, county, state, and even nation were up to, you might be a bit more enthusiastic to head to the voting booth when elections occur. Well now we’re here and you can’t plead ignorance anymore. Keep track of what your government’s up to. Vote out the dumbasses. Accept only the best.

Our Favorite Things to Post

We like stories that pretty much everyone with a brain can agree represent dumbassitude. Nonpartisan stories are best because stupidity knows no party.

• When police, whom we trust to be the keepers of justice and safety, harass everyday citizens and brutalize people for no reason.
• When your tax dollars are given to corporations to bail them out of their own mistakes.
• When your tax dollars are given to other countries while American children starve and our budget deficit grows.
• When the nation’s wealth is squandered away on porky vanity projects that don’t do anything for the nation.
• When the government outlaws personal freedoms which do not harm others.
• When the military wastes trillions of dollars and untold lives invading random countries that have not attacked America.

Guidelines

If you want to submit a story, keep in mind the following things:

1) We may not post it. We have strict quality control here. Stories must verifiable and journalistic. If you don’t want this to become another tinfoil hat, ranting and raving conspiracy site where every two-bit crank gets his soapbox, then don’t expect us to lower our standards.

2) Editorials are not news. If you send in an article that is primarily commentary and opinion rather than an update of new facts, we will not post it. If it speaks of a news article that we haven’t covered, we may post that. If the article is borderline editorial and news and we cannot get a more objective source, we may post it.

3) We DO give credit. If you submit an article, you get credited in the post. If you don’t want to be named, make sure to say so.

4) No conspiracy theories! Just in case we haven’t said that enough times.
